Where will Delta send the 757-300

Add PDX-HNL to the list of currently flown NW 757-300 flights from the left coast to Hawaii.
As far as flying them across the Atlantic is concerned, we often have to takeoff "optimised" from SEA-HNL, and that's only 6 +/- hours.

On the 767 (and other twin-aisles) you have a 2-3-2 configuration, which means only 1/7 of the seats are middle seats--and then you have two options to exit into the aisle. No one ever has to crawl over more than one passenger, and fully 4/7 of the seats are aisle seats!
Is it any wonder that when I flew a couple of ATL-ANC flights a few years ago on both the 757 and 767 (different days of the week) the FAs told me that after 7+ hours of flight, the pax on the 767 were noticeably happier and calmer than those on the 757?
Still, I would rather fly a 757 that made money than a 767 that didn't!

I fly the 320 and ride the 320 mostly and I find it is a little better than the 757-200 because of the wider cabin. The seats are a little wider and the isle is definately wider. I have never flown the 757 but it seems to ride a little better than the 320 in rough air, perhaps the weight.
Anyway, the 757-300 is a whole other story. It is just TOO long for a single isle. The -200 for a passenger is really no worse than the 320. But the -300 sucks. It seems like it takes forever to board and/or unload and getting to the head is just awlful if the carts are out or even if they aren't. Add to that, being a passenger in the back and it seems like the rudder is working overtime, it can be pretty uncomfortable due to the long arm in a wind. I think the -300 was a stretch to far for a narrow.
Having said all of that if the airline makes money and pays me to fly it, well, let's go then!
