Default Where will Delta send the 757-300

My flight student mind always thought the 757-300 would be a good airplane for Delta on ATL- Florida flights because it has similar seating capacity as the 763 and I could imagine that it is less expensive to operate. So where do you guys and girls think Delta will send the 753?

I can see them putting it on the 767 routes. Almost the same seating capacity and a heck of a lot cheaper to operate.

But w/o containerized cargo. Sometimes more revenue than two cheeks in each seat.

The 757-300 is so long, they can stick another 757-300 in the back of it.

You keep it on the same routes across the Atlantic, the rev is dropping so wouldn't you want the cheapest seat mile and the range? Cgo only rocks when the econmy rocks.

Actually, it takes Chuck Norris to perform such an act.

But I see what you were getting at.

Northwest/Delta uses the C-7 C-8 gates in Anchorage, right next to ours. Everyday they are filled with 753s going down South.

I was told in training about a year ago that we were just waiting for anyone, (read CO) to STC the winglet mod and then we would put them on as well.

I submitted the best fuel saving plan I thik I've ever had; put the long -300 on the DTW-FNT route. That way we could load up, push tail north and just let everyone off through the back doors! A little APU fuel is all you would need.

I haven't heard back from anyone on this...
