More new routes for Alaska
#11
By they way, how would you feel if the roles were reversed, and we started picking up your flying. Woopie doo!!!!!! We can market with you as an AA flight. I am watching the demise of Midwest, but hey at least they can market themselves with Republic.
If we do get the contract we deserve I am sure more flying will farmed out to a cheaper contractor, ie Alaska or someone else.
Like I said, I have no hard feelings toward the pilots, just more bull******** shell games from management.

Can they even codeshare with AA on this route? SJC-AUS is an O&D route with little connection traffic. I always thought the point of a codeshare was to get more traffic into your hub to connect onto your flights. SJC isn't even a hub anymore, is it?
Eagle is also stopping SJC-SAN becasue they are not feeding AA with connection traffic.

AA,
Currently AS is reducing flights per day, reducing block hours, and reducing pilots. The pie is getting smaller for AA & AS. Not the same as the explosive, unabated growth in departures for several regional airlines. Not the same as moderate wage jobs being outsourced to minimum wage jobs.

So what does something like this mean? Looks, sounds and smells like increasing capacity, city pairs and therefore labor? Or does it mean those not furloughed will have to do the extra work?
There are four -700s that the company would like to get rid of, but nobody
is buying. So, they might as well utilize one on the BLI-LAS route on top of
trying to combat Allegiant.
Rumor has it that we may be adding one more daily flight between SEA and
AUS. Plus, they have been looking at flying to the Hawaiian islands from the
LA basin.
There are some other opportunities that they are looking into, but it's all
rumor & conjecture which I don't care to comment on.
