Default United on a banner

So I saw a plane towing a banner around Lake Union area in Seattle today. It said something to the effect of, "Pilots of United say THANK YOU." Thats if I read it right. Any idea what thats all about? or do i need glasses?

I believe it's part of an MEC or ALPA-level movement to thank passengers from the pilots (ref: strategic photo-displays in O'Hare; same subject).

Not a company effort. Will it work? It might make a positive impression on opinion polls, but I don't think it will get more people to buy tickets on United.

I sometimes ask my fellow pilots: if you needed to buy a full-fare ticket, what is your selection criteria?

I know what the average Joe uses.....it's why people buy milk at WalMart.

Saw the same flying over downtown Denver today. Wonder if it was a United Pilot flying the Piper Pawnee dragging the banner?

They must have forgotten to scope the Pawnee!

The Pawnee was probably flown by a Frontier pilot.
