AMR financial and schedule changes
#12
If the economy does rebound next year expect to see the 80s stay and immediate growth could occur with an additional 36+ 737s being delivered. Everything stays soft or worsens, the will park the 80 1 for 1 with 737s, or worse 2 for 1.
AMR has pretty much cut as much as they can, and still be able to maintain the integrity of it's network. What is next, growth, or more shrinkage?
Wish I could read tea leaves..

The real answer to the question lies in the MD-80.. As we take 203 737s a month recalls and growth hinge upon what we do with the 80. The 80s are great aircraft when gas is fairly cheap and we can fill them up.

I see a lot of tit for tat between the two companies.
