In response to your queery... below is an excerpt from our FCOM. During engine inoperative approaches, the raw additive to Vref is Flaps 15 ref + 5 knots. The "ICE" additive is for increased performance when additional bleed requirements are needed during engine inoperative approaches.

As per our Boeing 737-800 Flight Crew Operations Manual:

Use normal procedures and reference speeds unless a flaps 15 landing is planned.
If a flaps 15 landing will be made:

Set VREF 15

If any of the following conditions apply, set VREF ICE = VREF 15 + 10:
• engine anti–ice will be used during landing
• wing anti–ice has been used any time during the flight
• icing conditions were encountered during the flight and the landing temperature is below 10°C.

Any other -800 have the same VREF ICE additives in their manuals?

I'm quite familiar. I'm also quite familiar with the clearance (in thick accent), you clear to beacon and fly approach. Wind 220 at 10 and braking action "not too good". All while flying steam gauges.

Been to some former bloc airports where you are lucky to get a braking report from the tower.

"Braking action safe... Yugo able to stop on runway"

I was waiting for the word Comrade to come after runway.

Can't wait for this winter's season of operations.

Buzzpat, I think we must at some point come to the realization that some among us are FUBAR, never to be rehabilitated....let it go and move on.

Oh come on... you can do better than that... can't you??? Guess not since you plagerized the old "Gee you must be a peah to fly with" line which has been used before you were daddy's little squirt... I guess.
