So after the highly televised lynch on NWA flight crews that messed around with their laptops allegedly, I am left wondering what has the FAA and the NTSB ever did with the Delta crew that came from Rio and mistook the green lights for white lights?

Rest assured, they'll get theirs...the FAA has at least six months in which to take enforcement action.

Plus, lesson learned, don't say shiite to the media. Call the union and hunker down. Both incidents are not what they seemed. How they were handled is a whole 'nother story. The press is clueless. If you feed them, they will eat you.

This is a very important point. Most do not even know their names.

Yep, and as with this one there was some extenuating circumstances. Just wait for the facts to come out. They will, but let the pros do what they do.

I know full well from my other "occupation." The "fifth estate" no longer cares about the who, what, why, where and when....they only care about selling newspapers and selling commercial time. We, as an industry, need to fully embrace that. If we don't, we die. Sully has done a great job playing the middle. But there is no objectivity in news organizations these days...only the TMZ, CNN, tabloid approach to the effort. I'm sure Sully would agree. With a flying public so ignorant as to what it takes to fly, the hair on our collective necks should be standing on end. If you don't want to see your family abused, your career ended, and your name vilified, don't go there.
