Let's see. Since I've been here:
AA was buying ALK.
CAL was buying ALK.
ALK was buying Reno Air.
AA was buying ALK.
And in just the last year:
DAL was buying ALK.
ALK was buying AAI.
SWA was buying ALK.
And now:
ALK is merging with HAL.
Whatever.

AAG is all about the simplified fleet (QX Q400, AS 737). Add HAL on there with 717, 767 going away, 330, 350 coming. Doesn't sound like AAG to me. Although, they do really want a 100 seat jet and I would prefer it be a major than RAH or even QX get it. Now if HAL just had either the 330 or 350 coming that seems that it would be a better blend with AAG. I like this better than all the other options for the error group. More importantly, college basketball is on all day. Everyone needs to see QX new 'sinus infection" colored airplane, as a friend puts it.

All these pilots get lathered up just thinking about merging with somebody and getting a seniority windfall at their fellow pilots expense.
