The DFDR and DCVR and the OFDM (aka big brother) will tell the story... no need to speculate.

Good news that nobody bought the farm on this one.

I was too. I considered not saying it at all, but after what I read in this section after the Colgan crash and Delta landing on a taxiway, I couldn't resist.

Why don't you go back to bed and take a nap. You can come out of your room when you decide to get up on the "right" side of the bed and play nice.

South American airport, heavy rain, thunderstorm, not a grooved runway. Lets see where this goes.

KINGSTON, Jamaica – An American Airlines flight carrying 154 people skidded across a Jamaican runway in heavy rain, bouncing across the tarmac and injuring more than 40 people before it stopped just short of the Caribbean Sea, officials and witnesses said.

Well there's the problem...they bounced on the tarmac! Wonder if they were in VNAV? (inside Delta joke). Seriously though, glad no one was killed.
