Which is being discussed as I type based on the headlines.

Glad I took a voluntary furlough and can grab a beer to watch the SLI from the sidelines.

Good luck if UAL and AAA press ahead. It will be fun to watch how the new LPPs work given the fact that US Air still doesn't have a combined list to date.

What a total cluster f$&k.

no offense, but with the probable ensuing grievances and company legal maneuvering, I find it doubtful that either side would be privy to that sort of information until it actually happened...

If you are talking about TA10 the company is making USAPA/AWAPA and MV look like fools (good lawyers). The pilot reps just haven't admitted it to the pilots. This will go back the the arbitrator for final resolution in a few months where he will ask for a best offer deal from each side. The company will offer penny's on the dollar, the pilots will ask for everything under the sun. Guess who win's? If you think recalls are coming out of this...well I hope your right.

My information reports about TA10 is expect maybe some monetary damages, but don't count on a recall.
LCC will attempt to get through this summer short staffed. When things fall apart, they always do, they will consider recalls.

Me, personally, I am figuring a recall in 2011. Only reason attrition due to medicals, if economy improves and I am very close to the top of recalls. Other than that everything is a guess.

Wish I could go back sooner, I miss my flying desk.

Doug said in the crew news yesterday no planned recalls for 2010.

Hopefully that will change based on the block hour remedy.

Those statements reminded me of that Anchorman quote about the cologne, Sex Panther: "...60% of the time it works, every time!"

One of the things I've learned in this industry is not to count on anything until it happens... and even then, things can change quickly! I'm almost positive that I'm mostly correct in that view.

Good luck to all the AWA guys/gals out there!

PS- I did hear a rumor directly from a few people in the training department (non pilots) that recalls may happen. No joke. Keep your fingers crossed, plan for it not happening, and hope that it does...

There's nobody farther from the pulse of what's going on at an airline than the people in training dept., except for line pilots.

As far as TA10 here's the latest update aimed at furloughed pilots asking about updates:
"I REFUSE to compromise the process by acquiescing to the increasingly belligerent demands for information. " From AWAPA or USAPA which is it? LOL. I guess he forgot how close he is to furlough.
