USAir recall soon?

I’ve heard they are recalling 70 flight attendants on May, any speculations about pilot recall (East or West)? also heard a spike in retirements in the East and increase flights at the Charlotte hub.

I've heard 15east/50west recalls but it's pure talk at this point.

I haven't been around too long, but I as long as I have been in the industry (2002) it has been almost non-stop bad news for many carriers. USAir was always depressing. Bankrupt twice too. American has had pilots on furlough since before I had any turbine time. I think the only bright spot for any of these carriers was during 2007 when everyone was hiring and AA was actually recalling. Rough decade.

I've been hearing these recall rumors for about two weeks now and it is pretty much all over the other message boards. Has anyone heard a time frame on when this is supposed to happen? I'm hoping soon!

Who would want to be on the very bottom of that seniority list? Talk about going nowhere fast. Zero growth. Bad blood between pilot groups. Back-stabbing CEO. No thanks...

I wouldn't dismiss the plight of the LCC furloughees in this manner. Some have to go one step UP (via recall) to get into the USAPA nightmare. I for one missed my job a lot when I wasn't flying, and I would guess some of them feel the same.

I'll take my spot back on the bottom of the list, gladly. Sure things are bad now, but with 60% of the pilot group retiring by 2023, movement is going to be lightning quick in the next ten years.
