Running for office is not as completely democratic as it might seem on first blush.

Carl could have been a great candidate, but his penchant for stirring the pot resulted in those with a vested interest in maintaining the status quo voting against him.

I say, thanks for running and putting yourself out there. It is a tough and thankless task. Particularly if you are a reformist or true believer.

You've got that right, bar. The ones that are entrenched have their empire and will protect it with ferocity, spin, and....what you see on this board.

Speaking of... BK needs to be let nowhere near the chairman's seat. NEVER forget his article on scope.

This is EXACTLY why nothing will change at national.

T- If you got more guys to vote it would be as you stipulate. Voter turnout is key and right now the only guys voting are those that are honking mad and those engaged on some level. Get more guys to vote and you solve your issue.

The entire point is to point out that though not where many want it, the President's salary was reigned in on many levels during this BOD meeting.

Put a resolution forth to your reps demanding a change. Be specific. Our MEC says they are no longer going to just "receive" resolutions.
