This board is Delta Central. Moderators are Delta (some are okay), the vast majority of posters are Delta, and to be honest Delta doesn't like Southwest too much so they'll say anything that they can to antagonize and insult you under the moderated guise of "advancing a discussion."

If you want to have a real discussion with an AirTran pilot over SLI, invite them over for a few beers to talk about it. They're mostly top notch people, and even if their MEC wreaks havoc all of the way to an arbitrator, we have top notch people that can push as hard as needed if push comes to shove.

Relax - these guys don't even know how the United/Continental thing is going to work out. Heck, last time I checked, the DAL/NWA thing had errors in it. ALPA is beating it's chest, and whimpering out a lousy deal on the 70 seat jets. ALPA is nothing to fear.

I'm going to bed. I may stoop to post on this board again in another 3 months.

PS last month I earned more than $20,000+ as an FO. Any of you legacy captains earn more than that?
You guys are getting worse and worse. (And it's still funny.)

SWAPA also has a team of very experienced lawyers. In fact the law firm that SWAPA hired was the same law firm that represented AWA and Delta during their SLIs. It was also the law firm that AirTran wanted to hire. So I believe SWAPA is very well represented by their legal team.

Maybe with your $20,000/month you can go out and buy yourself some humility.

It's not always about the money bra. I laid over in Paris and Brussels last month, and I am going to Sao Paulo tomorrow. The money I make is not what I would like, but I'm debt free and I pay cash for anything I choose. It's pathetic and sad that money is your scorecard, but to each his own.

Ding! I am now free to move about the world
Oh, and I fly with my favorite captain every trip

Some things can't be bought . . . . they must be learned, and karma is a heck of a teacher.

Hey, thanks for the gouge on GRU! It really helped out. I guess I´m only two days ahead of you. Just be prepared to wait for your room. We had a one hour wait and the crews inbound today had the same wait. They comped breakfast, so I guess it was a wash.

As far as making 20 large a month, I´m sure the blonde that sits at the end of the upstairs bar makes more than that a month, and I´m not talking Reals either....

I flew with 3 guys last month that were all in excess of $50K for the month! One was even over the $60K mark, so I would say our guys do alright

How on earth do you earn $50k/mo flying airplanes?

Even as a very senior captain on the 744/777 at Delta, and even with overrides and check airman pay and and other soft money, you'd have to credit what, 200+ hours in a month to get there?

It's called a greenslip...... When I flew with the first guy I was amazed but then I personally flew with 2 more that were over the $50K mark.
