can you explain why you get so much gratification out of people that could end up out of work. You said you have been in the industry for a long time I know it has not all been at Alaska. So you have had to go through some hard times unless every thing you post is complete bs.

Thus far only Southwest & JetBlue have eked out a profit. Tough market for all right now with oil > $110/barrel.

Alaska Air Group did quite well for Q1, $29.5 million. Record profit for Q1.

Current gas prices are going to eat that up quick. Sir Dick better get ready to shovel some MORE money into VX.

I think VX has a good product, and a good niche. I just don't think they need to grow to 50-100 airplanes. Right-sizing may be 35-40 aircraft, and a happy employee group. Eventually, they'll make a profit, if they stop growing so fast.
