UAL recalling 200
#31
FWIW Top 5 furloughees are 400 CAP (Sr. furloughee is #76 on the list)......plenty of 777 and 767 CAP as well. I'm a 2/99 hire (voluntary furloughee) and about 250 into the furlough stack.

I know a 1986 hire 756 Captain who's coming back from voluntary. He was a 737 captain for like ten years an LCA ETC ETC.. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the first super captain feels it's his duty to "mentor" the new guy on how to fly a guppy.

I had a DC-9 F/O who retired from the AF as C-9 Chief of Stan-Eval. He said the Delta school/IOE was a lot of fun.

Employment Requirements
A Pilot accepting an offer under this provision will be subject to the
normal background and employment requirements of the employing Airline.Does anyone know what this line means?
Does that mean I have to break out my suit and tie and go in for an interview?
Thanks.

Probably means you still have to be good. IE: Driving record, DUI's, criminal, and normal background checks will be done. If you got something for Christmas from Santa, your probably golden.

Where did you get this info? 3/99 hire, vol furlough as well. Furlough coordinator told me I was 145 from recall.

That's what I was told a while back.........haven't looked at the list and counted. I hope you're right and I'm wrong!

It's not a "recall". It's a job opportunity. The CAL side is "hiring", and the United furloughs have the first chance to fill the slots. So, anything the UAL side might have no problem with (old DUI, speeding, failed checks), CAL might, and you will be turned down for the opportunity...
Don't know about an interview, or sim check (I asked on another post somewhere).
It is like the RJ job opportunity, but with bigger airplanes...
A true "recall" would be easier. Just a background check to see if you did anything criminal, or from the list of things that would make you ineligible for the airport badge, while you were on furlough. (or something like that)

Another scarey thought- they go through a lot of pilots (double furloughees by-pass, because they don't want to be screwed again), get towards the bottom. Then the SLI comes along, and now we have a few more double furloughees because the senior ones have the rights to those slots...
I would love to come back. However, I have a good gov't job, and don't want to leave it just so I can get furloughed again when the list comes out.
