Best Pay With The Most Time Off?

Not to mention the good ole Bombardier Global Express owner: "wait, you need to come to my office and discuss this credit card bill. What did you spend $20 on at WalMart?" "Vacuum cleaner." "VACUUM CLEANER?! YOU BOUGHT ONE TWO YEARS AGO!? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!"
^^^^ true story.
As to your question, the CRJ-700 to me reminds me of the Global's without the range. The Challenger 605 seems to me to be a short version of the CRJ-200 with better range but a $31M price tag, or $20M if you don't mind a 3 year old one.

To summarize, a good corporate job will always be better than a good airline gig NO MATTER WHAT!

I don't think you get it. GF has the greatest corporate job ever. He even expensed a gold plated toilet seat that he brings with him on trips and his boss only asked him why he didn't get a solid gold one.

It does not really matter because in the end, we all get screwed.

You can fly for a big company, where all the CEO's go to congress to testify, and then when a completely hypocritical lot of congressman call them out for their private jets they decide to retreat when they shouldn't have. Corporate jets = debauchery in a time of high unemployment, and especially to the accountants when they see $8/gal gas. So now you as the pilot end up having to defend it internally and externally and I just frankly don't see the security in that even if the premise is 180 degrees out of phase.
Ala GM and Ford.. the GM guys (I think) were let go in December: Merry Christmas... NOT!

I think there are good jobs for both airline pilots and corporate pilots. I'd say there are 2 good airlines left to work at. I don't know how many good corporate flight departments there are out there. Comparing a cr@ppy airline to a cr@ppy corporate flight department I'd say the airline job wins hands down.

The 605 family predates the CRJ by 10-15 years. Yes, a CRJ pilot could hop into it and not really even tell a difference. That's where the similiarity ends though. As for a Global being like a 70 Seat RJ---it practically is the same---other than the fuselage, engines, wings, avionics, interior, and things like that.
