Default Virgin take home pay first year

I was wondering how much one could expect to make first year at Virgin America?

this is a legit question not looking to flame or start a fight about pay.

things like duration on reserve? will you break guarantee and get to the 125% pay often?

thanks in advance

I figured as much, but I thought was at least a start! Good luck.

Expect 4-5 months on reserve.

Once you get a line you can add/swap with open time to get up to 90 hours if you try. Trips are pretty efficient (6 hour credit days are typical), so you still end up with quite a bit of time off.

That's typical for SFO based pilots. Don't know about LAX. For some reason, all new hires go to SFO. That may change.

LAX,JFK and IAD are not bases they are virtual bases and they do nothing but hurt the pilot group with the digression of trips. until your pilot group realizes it you will be nothing more the me me me group.

Have your company man up and make them bases. They spend money on everything but what would help your group. You all need representation.

Only thing missing from LAX is a chief pilot. That's a bad thing? LAX trips also average about 6 hours.

Do the reserves get used often or do they just use your enough to not break the 70 hours?
