Some of those guys did go back to the panel for a few years at DAL but they had to retire before the the age 65 rule when we parked the 727 - I doubt any are still around.

Same at Comair. He retired two days before 60, the law changed the day before he turned 60, and he came back. He's been #1 at Comair since I got here.

There was a guy in my dad's class at Southern in 1971. He left in 73 to go to National, and is bidding with about Delta 1986 seniority due to the Pan Am merger.
Had he stayed at Southern he would have been number 1 at NW for many years (and still be bidding with virtual #1 seniority due to the fence)... You never know!
