I didn't pay $8000 for my 737 type. Earned it at USAir along with a few thousand hours in type between 2000 and 2002.

Still hoping for a second interview someday.

Id rather work at US Airways than Southwest. I believe they are maxed out in their business model. With all that said Id apply because it is better than any regional...

I would consider working there, but it isn't currently my first choice. It is better than most, but past performance is no indication of future success. If they close Atlanta, I am probably a 'no'.

WRT to your comment about the only SWA pilots that haven't been Cptns being AirTran F/Os, that is completely incorrect. Our hiring standards were 500 hrs. Part 121 PIC or military equivelent because of our fairly quick upgrade time.

Your blue juice drinking mindset and attitude is shining through. You'll have to pardon the soon to be one quarter of your pilot group that isn't of the same frame of mind.

What's hilarious is how many times I've been threatened on this board that "I won't last at SWA" because of my attitude. What makes you think that I can't play the game well enough? If they fired everyone that is as POed as I am, they'd have to hire another thousand pilots just to handle the attrition. I know, I know, you're salivating at the thought.
Ha ha!! Salivating no, just making an observation. I truly hope you like your new job. You may not believe this, but, yes I want you to have a long successful career at SWA. Just like I want for every other pilot that gets their paycheck from SWA customers.

On the other hand, please keep ****ing into the wind if that is what makes you happy. I hate to tell you, but who you are is not a secret.

Good luck.

In fact, quite the opposite. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.

I'm happy that for you it's just a "distraction". For a lot of us it's been an extremely stressful event and most of us haven't even begun to live with the downgrade/huge loss of seniority as only a small handful of our pilots have transitioned over.

Is the SWA culture gone? I don't know, but I do know that there's 1,735 pilots coming your way that aren't going to help things. I hope the rape was worth it. Enjoy!
We're you a valujet guy or are you just the type of person AT hired? No wonder they never called anyone I would consider a friend.

If you don't want your job, quit. There are plenty of us regional guys/gals that would gladly take it, given the chance. No one here cares to hear your drivel any longer.

Welcome to my ignore list.

That's not what he said. He said Past Performance, not past behavior. Big difference.

Regards,

Yes, I would go to SWA if I was looking for a job and they offered. They probably wouldn't hire me though, because I don't have a 737 type and have no intention of buying one.

While you're at it, put me on your ignore list too (if I'm not already). I don't want a thin skinned boy reading my stuff. Whackmaster makes valid points and offers a different POV. Sorry if you are too young to handle that.
