The terms of the leases are stipulated upon signing. The lease back return dates come and go regardless of Jetblue profit margins. If the lessor is willing to adjust the terms for the lessee than Jetblue does resign the agreement.

Typically the lease agreements are based on a specific time frame, incorporate cycles and total time on the airframe but rarely are based on profit margins. Upon reaching the end of an agreement Jetblue has resigned based on the lessors desire to maintain similar or better terms.

Again, the agreements are rarely based on Jetblue profit margins. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't expect lease returns in the near future. Could be wrong, but I don't think so. As long as we are doing well, which we are.

Hope your right.

Based on the latest Reuters report I don't think we'll be having classes soon.

I think the DAL guys get 10yrs... I don't know when or what triggers the clock though. The guys I talk to say that time is running out. I'll get a specific.

Normally 10 years from furlough, but there was an extension due to the NW / DAL merger out to early 2014. When DAL starts hiring though many will jump because you never know how long that will go on, and DAL has to be hiring before the bypass'ers can return.

Unfortunately not.

I would not be too worried about the American merger article that lists every possible airline they can merger with. Just about every analyst see no value in a JB/AA merger.

My thoughts exactly. IMHO, AMR has named every possible candidate but I do not see Doug Parker and US Airways giving up on their dream dance partner. US Airways has already spent a lot of time and money on this deal and they will not let this big fish get away.

On the other hand, JB management and our BOD have said publicly that they want nothing to do with AMR (other than our code shares), so unless Horton and company make a hostile attempt to take us over, I just don't see this playing out. I will not lose any sleep over this, as it is a longshot at best. Now back to your regularly scheduled fear mongering.

War Eagle!!
