I am not making an argument that our pay and benefits are what they should be. I am not saying they have been honest.

I am saying you are hurting yourself and other pilots more than you are hurting jetBlue management.

Are you sending out resumes now or when others start hiring?

Word on the street is that there are peculiarities unique to PR labor law which would render a crew base quite inefficient.

Also BD, while I'm not applying to anywhere currently hiring, my AirlineApps profile is updated in anticipation of hiring at DL and Unical. That's how little faith I have in leadership. I didn't feel that way five, four, or even two years ago.

Having been privy to some of the behinds the scenes action I too have update my AirlineApps profile. It was a tough decision but based on many recent events it has been made clear to me that Jetblue does not intend to ever make this airline a career destination.
I'm not stiring the pot or trying to incite the bluebells its just a sad realization as to the future of the airline. It's still a decent job but Jetblue leadership does not intend for this to be a career.
For those in the pool do yourself a favor and keep your options open. There stands to be significant hiring on the horizon.

I agree Benz, JB has become a watered down version of Mesa or maybe worse. What people complain about is that the company doesn't do this or that. Well guess what, they are in business to please shareholders and a BOD not the pilot group. This is just the way it is and they are never going to change cause of pilots complaining. This place will never be a place for the career minded, especially with the large number of captains in their 30's and 40's. I think a new hire can expect 10+ years before upgrading to captain.

I'm out as well. I put my time in, did what I could and things never change. Without turning this into a union/anti-union argument the only way airlines provide pilots with industry standard benefits is via negotiations. Since 1193 nuckleheads voted to give Jetblue management cart blanche to gut our pay, benefits, retirement and disability we are on the continued spiral downward.
This last email by CS only re-emphasizes what the pro-union advocates already knew. Jetblue, as stated in the email, has no desire to make Jetblue a career destination by traditional standards. If you want free pizza and barbecues then Jetblue is for you. If you want retirement, insurance or disability then please make your way to the door.

What a joke.
