One would have to assume... (I know never assume) that 40 more means including the oct and nov classes. Plan for the worst... hope for better.

LOL, Dont worry, there's plenty of juice to go around! Your already in line, no one is going infront of you that wasn't already there. Keep your panties on until you leave the prom, you don't wanna give your date the wrong idea.

Last known class is 11/7, I doubt they would start one 11/21 (Turkey Day is 11/22). Maybe squeeze 1-2 more classes 11/28 or 12/12?

Hey guys, got a call yesterday and offered the Oct 17th class. Hope to see some of you there. Sounds like there is also a Nov 7th class as previously mentioned.
I was told I was #35 in the pool back in Feb so hopefully that helps those guessing if they will get a call.

Congrats bro I'm really happy for you. Hopefully I'm in class right behind you. I'm happy to hear it dropped all the way to #35, that's means atleast 7 people dropped out or bypassed a class. (28 hires since they restarted recently.)

Congrats again man, it's been a long wait. Enjoy!

Hey guys,

I live in Las Vegas and have a class date on Oct 17th. I don't know yet if I will be BOS or JFK based but I'll certainly exit training on Reserve in one of those 2 domiciles.

Can anyone give me an idea of how many days off a month I can expect to get while on RSV in BOS or JFK? My wife just delivered our 1st baby and I'm trying to figure out how many days a month I'll be able to commute and be home, or if we should try to rent our house and move.

Thanks a bunch!

As the new guy on the bottom of the reserve pool, you'll get 18 days of reserve each month (31 days). . depending on the time of the year and numbers of reserves, you may get two days of pre-release (PRL) added to your days off. . so best case scenario would be 15 days. Commuting from LAS, you have good options of commuting but even so, take about 4 days off of that 15 days and you will be home best case 11 days a month. That is if everything with your reserve schedule works out and you are able to commute back home in between reserve periods. It is painful at the beginning so I'd warn her if she is not used to it. I just finished my first year on reserve and as they hire, you are able to bid better reserve lines such as Mon-Sat and during the slow months you may possibly see long call reserve (LCR) on the first two days of your period, which is a 14 hour call out from home. . easily doable from LAS. Good luck. .

Friend of mine who was #38 in the pool back in February got the call today for the Oct 17th class. Class should be around 21 people for the 17th and around 12 for the November 7th class. I'm guessing a few people must have found other work over the last year or are deferring a class. Hopefully the supplemental bid will be out by tomorrow to shed some more light on future hiring needs!

If you defer a class do you defer one class, or do you go to the back of the list, and wait to come back around again?

1 chance to defer a class. You go in the next class or you give up your right to go to class at all.
