If this last union vote was for an in house, it would have passed. There's too many bad memories with ALPA (mostly ALPA national) that will keep ALPA off the property for many years to come.

already been there done that. JBPA failed, maybe you weren't here for that. ALPA has more resources and therefore more likely to succeed than a startup union.

Uh, "maybe you weren't here", but we had an ALPA election that failed too.

Jetlink, some of the worst juicers at JetBlue are former military and major airline refugees. Most of the new guys I fly with are former regional pilots and almost all of them support a CBA.

I hear you, a lot of the military pilots in JB receive retirement and medical from government, so for them life is good in blue, furloughs - some of them, not all, are bitter because their dream job was taken away and they are ****ed off on ALPA.
Majority of my classmates are in support of CBA, but there are few, that still don't get it. For them flying A320 is dreams came true, 13% 401K (even though is only 5% guarantee) is better then 4% at 75 cents on a 1$ or none.
Note the LIFT program, what you think is happening? Remember the question on merit based pay? They are doing it, pretty soon they will point out how many LIFT recognitions you have for your pay or benefits. People participate in this silly program without realizing the true intent. This works like medals in the military, it is a worthless piece of shiny metal, but you are proud to display it and it will help you in promotions. My true hero pilots are those, who flew safely for 30+ years and retired without ever being in the news.

Easy there sparky, point was that alpa has more resources than a startup like jpba and that jpba failed in the election.

Any chance we can keep this thread on the topic of class dates, and save the moaning and wailing for the other B6 threads?

saker 09-24-2012 11:02 AM

System Bid closes this Wednesday - should have more clarity as to hiring numbers for Q1 2013 and aircraft, bases, etc. once the award is out (takes a couple days on average).

It appears that BOS 190 still is the quickest. Could change to JFK 320s in 2013 with deliveries etc.

I would love to see a FLL 190 base as I have many overnights there. I haven't heard anything or rumors about it though. I would figure on a base in SJU before FLL ever does.

Diesel,

Did you get the PM that I sent you?
