Ok Benzobrain. I bait you because you desperately need the guidance of a leader (Moak) who claims major pilots make adequate salaries? case closed. Hey, let's increase you union dues by 100% to get what? A contract in 5 years? Comair was a wholly owned subsidy and Delta let them die a slow death. By the way, both companies represented by ALPA, so all the more relevance. Maybe you are Moak. Hey Lee, how's it hangin'?

First, you are talking about a regional airline. A small life provider. You don't even understand the economics of it. If you did you wouldn't even make the comparison. You're level of ignorance is staggering.
A contract in 5 years? Maybe but had ALPA been voted in last August we would still be under the same insurance plan as 2012 and not the 2013 version. Jetblue just fired a pilot today because an FO claimed he dropped his laptop in the cockpit on purpose. They did not ask the Captain a single question about the incident. Not one! The simply called him and fired him on the word of another pilot. No due process, no hearing, no legal support, nothing. The FO was pulled of line today, paid for 30 days and re-based in JFK for the immediate future. So here it is mil boy. Take your anti union mentality and go back where you came from. People like you make jetblue what it is today. |

Fedex, USair, Spirit, and United. What a strange question. What does hiring have to do with sub-par compensation?

And before you all freak out about health care, call a furloughed Comair FO and ask how much his COBRA is?
Your point? Like I said, the force is strong with the weak! JJ |
Way to alienate 50% of your ALPA brethren by diminishing their career. Good thing ALPA will be on the look out for both you and the small life world. How can the same union fairly represent two separate and unequal pilot groups for two separate companies owned by the same corporation? Oh, one goes bankrupt, the other gets an industry leading contract. I can't wait until they represent my best interests. As far as JetBlue firing an employee for destruction of company property. Nice work!!! Lets get ALPA on property, so we can all smash our laptops, pee in the jetway and stick gum in the crew lounge locks AND NOT GET FIRED. Lol! There's more to that story. I wasn't there. Now, Mr. 211, take a quick look at USAir's A320 and E190 pay scales and compare to JBlue. Once again, case closed! It's is like an episode of Law and Order. Can we do better with the company reporting big $$? He'll yeah! And, we will. The management knows this and have nothing to gain from not spreading the wealth. My insurance compensation package at CPZ (ALPA) was worse than Jblue's current plan. That's as an employed pilot. As a furloughed pilot I would continue to argue that a COBRA is more costly than jblue's current plan, and having a job is always better than not. JBlue has never furloughed a pilot so 211 automatically loses the "vast majority" of union pilot argument. As far as economics go, here's a free lesson. JBlue is expanding markets, adding new aircraft, hiring and making $. That equals jobs in the micro scale of the company and macro environment of the travel industry.

Do you guys think they put more people in the class (expanded class size) or did people back out of the class? I thought calls went out for Dec 5th 2 weeks ago?

Strange point of view dude! Most plans are better than the "current" plan and miles ahead the 2013 plan and that's at the REGIONALS!!!! Tens of thousands of union Pilots DO HAVE superior health plans. And, they work for union carriers that are NOT furloughing! What difference does it make that JB hasn't furloughed "yet"? The fact still stands. These carriers are NOT furloughing and still afford their Pilots superior health plans. I just told you. Hawaiian and Alaska just hired. Usair, Fedex, UAL, and Spirit are hiring. What is your point about JB hiring???? JJ |

Stop comparing us to regionals. Your ALPA regional experience will be vastly different from your ALPA experience at a carrier that provides it own lift.
