Default Question for those who commute from ATL

Question is regards to parking.

Is it possible to get a parking pass for any lots in Atlanta for those of us who commute from ATL.

Thanks all.

Also, what is the cost on said parking pass if one is attainable.

I have some serious advice that I researched forever.... Don't even think about SIDA. It's a complete joke..

Pay the Marriott 60 bucks a month and park there. 24/7 security which is important for me because I recently bought a new truck. Very nice lot with space and extremely reliable van service (every 15 mins that has never been late). The employees there will TAKE care of you if you're a good guy and tip.

They make us all feel like paying guests every day. I am absolutely satisfied with that place.

See ya around.. And welcome to the *******show that is ATL commuting.

Wicked awesome. Perfect.

Probably a lot cleaner bus than the old Lot 3 prison bus I had the pleasure or riding back in the ASA days.

Let the commuting fun begin!

I forgot what the sida parking costs, I did it 9 years ago for $55 I think, got tired of it. I tried everything at the time from Marta, park-n-spot and hotels. I think I preferred hotels the most and I bet $60 beats sida.

I know MARTA is like 8 a day to leave the car there but has anyone tried a hotel next to MARTA farther out? they might be happy to let you park for 30 a month or something and you could dodge the inbound traffic and get dropped right into baggage claim.

I'll be watching for any good ideas since it is probably my future

If you're a northsider, N.Springs is $8/day, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs is $5/day.

Haven't tried the hotel thing, you might have some success with that at Dunwoody. Don't try and park at the mall and walk, they have been known to ticket cars parked overnight.

I think super 8 on sullivan ave on the south side of the airport is $45 a month. There are alot of hotels near it so you can jump on the vans that are close to it.

SIDA's $90 now and getting access is a long shot. I went though that pre-merger and the NWA station manager basically told me it'd be a cold day in heck before I got access to the Camp Creek lot because they were operating on a one in/one out kind of system. Camp Creek is a 40 minute ride. Paying to park in a hotel lot costs the same or less and is much quicker.

Also, for the OP, it might be worth your while to sniff around the hotel parking lots around the airport. FWIW, it's illegal to tow a car from a private lot in GA without specific signage enforcing towing. There are at least two hotels slightly north of the airport that you might want to look at.

Don't forget that you get company paid parking at the base of your choice.
