He probably thought he was buying a TCBY store when he sent the money in. Imagine the surprise when a bunch of yoga mats and dishram DVDs showed up in the mail.

Sure, you laugh now, but you'll be the first one in line when I open up my "Steamy Hot Yoga" studio!

Quote: Not to discourage you, but not only are most over-60 pilots not leaving early; many of them who are approaching the mandatory retirement age -- again, for the second time in five years -- are now griping that the retirement age should be raised to 70.

Or, as a fellow pilot so perfectly described the original Fly Past 60 movement many years ago: "I got mine. Now I want yours."
We've had plenty leave early at Delta. Age 70 is unlikely as it would not match up with ICAO standards. So is anything over 65.

For what it's worth, I retired from DAL this past Sept at 62yrs 10 months. The RMA was definitely a deciding factor for me.

The best part is when these forcibly retired airline guys come fly part 135 at my company. Here i am at 35 years old babysitting some old guy who should be out playing golf and enjoying his golden years instead of flying some crappy trip into Teterboro at 1am. Quite a sad situation. Also, if i have to hear " thats not how we did it at the airlines" one more time, i am gonna jump out of a window.
