I took the first offer, Southern Airways. My first choices would have been National, Eastern, and Braniff. We know how that would have worked out. Canceled an interview with United, avoiding a long furlough. I retired from Northwest but my retirement check says Delta. I would give you my crystal ball, but I think I broke it.
Industry consolidation has made the choice easier, but it is still a crap shoot. A guy in my reserve unit bought a Lear type and went to work for some little outfit we never heard of, Fed EX. Who new? |
