Default Do SWA pilots use hand mikes a lot?

Recently I've noticed that a lot of SWA transmissions have sounded like they were from hand mikes, and I wondered if you guys are using them or are the 737 cockpits just noisy? Maybe they always sounded like that and I'm just not too observant.

Don't know about SWA, but most of the guys I've flown with use hand mikes....727, DC8, A300b4, and so forth. How can you tell?

I think the headset's tend to be a bit to loud over the speaker.

Default Heres my take

This is what I think is happening.

Ask any airline pilot (except SWA) and they are probably
doing 250 knots under 10 Thousand.

That is why ( I feel) SWA cockpit transmissions sound like they
are talking with the window open.

Then again, I am sure those SWA guys and girls are
abiding the FAR's to the letter. cough cough

Be interested to hear from some folks at SWA
what is really going on.
