True. About as annoying as the guys that add an "s" and make their call sign plural (or possessive maybe?) when they talk on the radio.

So in your example, "And ground, English Challenges 325 ready for taxi".

With that said, I like SWA they are always accommodating and professional. They have great customer service, I guess for me if they want to do quirky PA announcements to make their long day more fun then I let them have it. It doesn't bother me in the slightest but I am not hung up on formalities.

I also like Alaska airlines, they are very professional. However that being said, I remember a flight a long time ago where I was flying from Seattle to Anchorage. I asked the FA for more peanuts, he must have been having a bad day. He brought me the clear unopened bag holding all the little packs of peanuts and gave it to me and said "Here are your peanuts" and walked away.
Needless to say I don't ever ask for anything again.
Are you nuts? That's the very moment I would have requested a mini of JD just to see if I'd score the whole kit!

I'd rather not have my real name used at all by the FAs or the other guy. It's none of the passengers' business. I consider it a liability issue.

Can you imagine the asspain for you and your family if your name shows up in a youtube clip, if for whatever reason there was an issue with the flight?

For PA purposes, I'm "Peter Longfellow."

edit: I see FlyJSH made similar points a couple of pages ago. my apologies.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is THE CAPTAIN speaking..."

"The Captain" is name enough.

And I always used that was when I was the Copilot!
