Well said, and I agree 1000%

Good luck, I hope you get a call from Spirit!

Thanks man! Did you end up getting a call from the Vegas fair? How long after did you get the call? Did you have any internals?

How long is it taking from the interview to getting a yes/no notification? How long until you can expect to get into a class?

Yes/No notification seems to be within a week.....although typically most hear back w/in a day or two.

Not sure about class dates. I suspect they would be fairly quickly after the acceptance of the job offer. I don't believe Spirit is running a pool; or if they are, it's not too deep.

Wow! What a rant Orbit! Are you a new hire?! May not be the best airline in the world, but hey... I'm a 6 year captain here, got 19 days off this month (yeap, got a transition conflict that worked good for me), 59 block hours, 88 credit hours. Can pick up OT if I feel like it. 4-days off in a row, minimum. Flying PIC on many brand new A320's, with fun crews and very competent F/O's. Moving up on the list every month. Paycheck never bounced, 401K and checking account is getting bigger. Yes, we don't have KCM. Is it at the top of my priority list? Nope! Am I drinking the kool-aid? Absolutely not. There are many issues that must be improved and dealt with (i.e. premium pay, schedules, union politics and communication, etc.) However, if you hate it all as you imply, hey...go fly for jetBlue! You've got a A320 type-rating (oh, yeah...Spirit gave you that during initial F/O training, right?)
Peace!

I did. I attended the job fair in ATL in Nov 2012, then the job fair in LAS in Jan 2013. Got the long app a couple of days after the job fair But, then i never heard a peep. I was signed up for the job fair in ORD last Friday when I got the call for an interview last week. Went to the interview yesterday, hope all goes well.

Keep plugging away and don't give up hope. I was starting to, but through the encouragement of a great bunch of guys on here, I kept studying the ATP question bank, I kept updating my resume and I kept my phone charged waiting for the call. If I can get called for an interview... as the saying goes.

Good luck to the guys who just interviewed, a great group of guys and good luck to those that get called from the ORD job fair!

A320,
Why are you moving up the list so much each month? Is there a lot of retirements? Seems weird that a 6 yr captain would experience such good movement or do you mean that because NK is growing your percentage is going up? Just curious?

Sounds like if you don't at least get the long app within a week of the job fair its safe to assume you weren't selected?

Not weird at all. The airline is growing 20% per year. Currently 8 to 12 pilots upgrading per month. Most pilots taking captain slots are below me on the seniority list. Spent one month on reserve in my domicile after I moved to the left seat. Holding a 16 day off line next month.
Cheers
