Jetblue movement...

Just curious if any guys with 1-5 years of seniority at JB are committed to leaving for a legacy?

Oops, I misunderstood the title. I was going to say "Yes, I just had one of those."

You know I am a little torn, if everyone leaves like they are saying I might be a bus captain next week.

But I think you have to consider all options. The airline game has changed I just hope the guys at lsc are ready to pay up.

History has the answer to that. During the last hiring wave, JetBlue lost over 150 Pilots which represented 10% of the Pilot group at that time. This just doesnt happen at other Majors!

I believe hundreds will leave soon. Hiring has only just started and already guys are bailing. Many see JB as a stepping stone.

If we start talking hundreds the whole airline would crash.
We can't drop that many guys and still take all these new planes.
I think they know that and that is why I am sure we will see a raise.
People will leave anyway but they can't afford hundreds of guys leaving. Other than getting a union, that many leaving would def put pressure on mgt to fix things.

Free beer tomorrow! ;)

Supplemental bid is coming out since lots of AA/DL guys are taking recall lately, but as far as changes to the growth plan I haven't heard many rumors

The company has stated many times that they want us to remain 20% cheaper than the industry average. So we will never be on the same level as AA/DL/UA/WN/etc in terms if pay/benefits. That explains why there is movement here

The easiest and most effective way for the legacies to put the hurt on JetBlue is to hire their Pilots. And, it benefits all three to do just that. Plus, JetBlue guys are more experienced than most RJ drivers so it makes perfect sense.

Watch this space!

Heard that 30 guys have a return date for Delta in October , for us to loose 30 captains in 1 month will cause quite the chaos .....RSA galore !
