What happened to the 'Pilot References' portion of the Pilot Credentials application? I see a separate 'References' Tab that appears to allow anyone to fill out, not just SWA pilots. Anyone get word on where to put SWA pilot recommendations or are those days over (Equal Opportunity laws)?

Thanks.

I don't even see that tab...

Logout and you will see the tab on the generic SWA page.

I just updated my existing one. I'm not too worried about the e-mail at this point. Based on the earlier post from the hiring department, it seems they are telling people to update their stuff even if you haven't received the e-mail.

I checked with the hiring folks. They are still working through the IT issues. She did confirm that if you meet the mins you are good to go. Getting the 2nd e-mail does not mean you have passed some type of initial filter (other than you meet the mins). They told me to follow up if I don't receive anything by Tuesday. They also thanked me for not re-applying, so if you're still waiting for the e-mail (like me), just wait a little longer.

As was posted earlier, if you applied and meet the mins, go ahead and update your stuff on pilot credentials.

There is an option to upload rec letters in the same area where you do the resume. I'm not doing it right now because they don't even consider recommendations until after you've been selected for interview. I just told my buddies that I applied and will be in touch if by some miracle I get an interview. I believe there is an internal system for SWA pilot to use for recommendations.

Anyone notice a difference between the grand total, total and your actual time on PC?

I was noticing the same thing. It doesn't look like grand total does anything more than add PIC + SIC. I guess I'm going to have to go back and add all my IP time into the PIC time column to make the columns work properly. Why can't they just put an addendum on airlineapps? :)

EDIT: btw, is there an FAA rating "military flight instructor" or is SWA just asking if I've been an instructor in the military?

According to letter sent to pilots and discussion with two domicile Chief Pilots on my behalf, recommendations are not required until you are called for an interview.

I added my IP time in my PIC and my student time from UPT in my SIC. At least it matches my resume closer and I can explain it if I ever get asked. I never got the email so just went ahead and filled it out.

The latter.
