Email invites definitely going out today........just had a friend get the invite today. For a data point, he's recently retired 21 year military and approx 3700 total time.
Best of luck to all waiting for the email.

Many people are hired on their second and even third attempt. To be honest, I was much more excited 9 years ago when I got the invitation.

You where much more excited 9 years ago, on your first chance? Well, plenty are looking for their first chance, that are just excited as you were a decade ago. Good luck. Keep us posted!

Pilotrob, I don't know your background, but it appears the culture has changed at WN. They don't seem to care about recommendations until you "score" enough points to land an interview. I suggest going out and renting an F something for a few hours.

Well, I'm taking the 777 out, I'm not an examiner or military, but I am an airline pilot. U coming?

The career prospects at SWA looked much different then. If I had been hired then, I'd be close to upgrade now. Now, it's 20+ years. Thanks for the well wishes but I most likely will be declining the invitation. At least it will open up an interview spot for someone who really wants the job.
