Interviewed on 21 Nov, got the call on 8 jan and I'm still waiting for a class date. Should be coming soon I hope!

Thanks Okay, here's the breakdown: 88 new-hires 37 to PHX 20 to LAS 31 to OAK That's straight off the March vacancy award that just came out. |

Got a call today. Feb 19. Told a class of 28 new hires.

Hey guys, hate to be the bearer of bad news but I just learned from a very reliable source (HR lady who used to work in SWA People Dept) that they've changed up the process for the January round of interviews. ALL candidates are now having their references called prior to the DB vice only the top scoring, sue fire candidates. Translation, don't put too much stock into the fact that your references were called as it relates to your chances of getting hired. This new process is to arm the CPs at the DB with as much info as possible to make the most informed decisions.

FYI…thought I'd help with the hiring progression info.
- Emailed mid-Dec for interview. - Interviewed first week Jan - Refs called two days after interview - Background check conducted - Emailed to do drug screening this week - Decision board on 4-Feb Hoping for call soon…my iCalendar feels like it's going backwards. |

Got my interview email invitation on Jan 2
Interviewed third week of Jan Asst Chief Pilot and one internal SWA ref called on Jan 20 Recieved my copy of background check in the mail Jan 27 Got my drug test email from SWA on Jan 28 Everything happened relatively quickly for me but the DB seems so far away! |
Was wondering if anyone would have any insight. DB meets tomorrow. Some have been called for drug tests and others have not. Had internal recs called, background check, and ACP called but. I call for drug test. I've heard that is a bad sign. Thanks for any info.

Sorry for the Ipad typos. I did not get called yet for a drug test prior to the board. Thanks gain for any info. |
I'd just relax. You will find out by the end of the week most likely. They said "getting the drug test is neither good nor bad." Some have gotten hired in the past without it and others didn't get hired with it. Not much that can be changed now. Sleep well and live each day to the fullest. Best of luck to you!
