Okay, that's a bit of an overstatement. But it beats what we've had (and just reelected)...

ALPA says they're always looking for more help. Call them on it.
Thank you. We have a few talented negotiators on our seniority list but will not conform to the strategy of proactive engagement thus will be outcast from that body of work. I think DALPA knows exactly whom to put into these positions.

NOT hk. Good grief.

I'd like to see DALPA sponsor some pilots to get their JDs, with the understanding that they'll utilize them on the NC. Give them FPL and pay for their degrees. Load up on negotiating and contract classes. Expensive? Ha. A drop in the bucket.

I'd be first in line to apply for that gig.

Really? My understanding is that he was supported by DTW, MSP, NYC, SEA, the CVG FO rep, and the Training rep, and that these are the more aggressive members of the MEC. I wonder why?

I really like HK. As knowledgable and diplomatic that he is, I unfortunately , can not support his ability to negotiate. Then again, DALPA has the plan so I am unqualified in any decisions and opinions.

DALPA needs to realize and acknowledge that our negotiating committee needs a lot of improvement/development. Without this acknowledgement and realization, we will be doomed.-or- pass another opportunity to make equitable gains. We all need room to grow and develop.

Purple, there are a few pilots with these credentials on our seniority list. I dont think the overall DALPA plan includes them. DALPA and DELTA need a symbiotic relationship. Any aggressive negotiator will destroy that.

Not sure what you mean by a symbiotic relationship. But again, who are these skilled negotiators? Let's name them, meet them, and promote them to our reps.

Pretty sure one has the JD, not sure if it helps.

Def.-->A relationship of mutual benefit or dependence. Or in other words, lets not rattle any cages.
Believe me, as a conservative person, I get it. Little gains eventually will lead up to big profits.. Our employer needs to be nimble enough to maneuver and achieve sustainable profitability so we can be rewarded with equitable careers. I get it.
DALPA volunteers and paid members are working extremly hard; I appreciate and support it. My only gripe is, DALPA/ALPA needs to be a little more uncompromising in our negotiations for C2015. The good times will not last. We need to capture and maintain equity while there is still a chance.
That is a good idea to promote these pilots. Do you think they have a chance? Do you think that they will be appointed a position on the committee if their stance or approach to negotiations is a little bit more hard-hitting than their predecessors? I am of the school of thought that big groups tend to promote and recruit people of like-mind or people that can be persuaded to conform.
