DAL has historically raised the bar ... glad to say that Lee Moak credited HAL for the 2010 contract raising the bar to give DAL a good basis for pattern bargaining. Lets hope we can both do the same here in 2010

In what ways did HAL raise the bar in 2010? I'm really not familiar with your contract and am genuinely curious. I've always heard you have a superior retirement package, but I've often wondered if that made up for your widebody pay.

PS, I don't think Alaska will ever raise the bar in a meaningful way. Although, I do believe our short call reserve guarantee and training pay is near the top.

No. 12 year FOs make $2.42 less than they would have in 2005. Absolutely pathetic, as is a 1.5% "raise".

Well, you hit on it... We set the standard for retirement plans that everyone using now. We also took pay rates back up. Recall, DAL, UAL, USAir, etc all had 150-160/hr rates at the top... In 2010 we brought those to the 200+ range.. We, like them had gone into BK and so those bars had to be raised. It was Lee Moak himself that said HAL set the bar in an ALPA magazine article back then.

In terms of rigs, work rules, vacation, and training pay we're still operating under the same crap we had post BK, thus why I had hopped AS added something to that mix....
