I've been wondering...how many does the 717 pictured above seat in the DL configuration?
That's not a 717, its a MD90. and who cares the 737-400 pilot has a free chance at Southwest.

Actually, upon closer inspection, we're both wrong: it's an MD-88.

Sorry for the confusion.

as avro pointed out that is not a 717 its a MD90, had you said it was a C141 I wouldve let it slide.

but to answer (and this is off the top of my head), 717 is 110 seats, DC95 was 125, MD88 is 149, MD90 is 160.

well according to my pilot certificate its a DC-9.

but look at the engine, its big and fat. The 88 engine is skinny with a bucket TR and doesnt have the large pylons with the flaps/extra set of elevators. Dont ask me. Ask Bar.

the talk about sending check airmen into Juneau first reminds our first time into Tegucigalpa with my late and lamented 727 charter company, they faxed us the charts for Teguc the night before, neither one of us had been there, we flew in the next day, had our "oh sh**" moment as we saw that tiny airport at the bottom of that ring of hills, and afterward respectfully suggested that they refrain from sending any more crews in after us, they agreed. Your way,sim first, is the sane way to go. What doesnt kill us makes us stronger is great for stories, but not the greatest philosophy for longevity. Train as we fight, fight as we train, is better, end of rave.
