Logging of augmented crew time

Logging of augmented crew time
How does everyone log time in your logbook as an FO while part of an augmented crew?
I've heard to log...
1) the whole flight as total time and SIC
2) the whole flight as total time and only time in seat as SIC
3) only time in seat for total time and SIC
4) a predefined ratio, log 2/3 of total and sic if 3 crew, 1/2 if 4 crew
Seems to be weird to be logging time while asleep in the back, but also seems to be weird to be logging only 4 or so hours for an ocean crossing.

This is a question that goes round and round and I still haven't gotten it straight and there is really no FAA guidance.
Some say only log the time in the seat.
Some say log it all because you are a required crewmember.
Some say log only the SIC time in the seat and log all of it in TT.
After many years of flying augmented crews, I finally started logging the entire thing. Why? Because it was easier than trying to do the math and I was PIC on most of the flights.
Also remember that our European and Asian counterparts log the whole thing and if they are flying the leg and are typed, they log PIC even though they are actually the SIC.
I just recently stopped keeping a logbook now that I work for what is my career job (hopefully).

Euro and Asian carriers I've flown for were clear on this issue. The only person that could log the entire time was the PIC as there has to be a PIC on board at all times regardless if they are or are not present in the cockpit. SIC's and F/Os are to log only that time they occupy a seat in the cockpit.
I'm sure that US carrier's Flight Operations or Flight Administration Manuals address the issue too.

As far as I know, every FO at Delta on an augmented crew logs the full time. The company uses the full time for flight time limits, and we get paid for the full time. There is nothing in the FOM about it. As long as the POI doesn't have a problem with it, that's all that matters.

I log the whole time and put the crew members names in the remarks column.
I'm not sure the correct way to log it, but that's how I do it.
I figure if I ever have interview somewhere again, that it's fairly common knowledge that the ocean crossings are augmented and they can break it down however they like from there.
Hopefully won't ever have to interview again though!
