How many of those 20K pilots have EASA certificates? Because that's what you need minimum to work there. This NYC hiring show of theirs is just that. A show. Sure, they'll run interviews and maybe hire a few Europeans who are working here, but in the end it'll amount to nothing.

i think that somehow i agree with drank on this one. (i know, stop the presses) and here's the chance to build the foundation. Go to work there if you want, but if you do, and decide later to come work at an alpa carrier, go ahead and apply, but be advised that it will be a total waste of your money. There is no reason for anybody starting out in this business today to go to work there. While alpa does not hire pilots, they do have a relationship with those that do (management) here is a case where that constructive engagement philosophy should pay off. Can we ask them to not hire anyone with that on their resume? I certainly hope so, and i hope that we would.
