Wouldn't change anything. You have to fix the system. By fix I mean put it back the way it was.
Term limits and the repeal of the 17th Amendment.
For those that don't know, states used to appoint Senate reps. The 17th amendment made it a popular vote, and thus put them up "for sale."

Yes, the BKK based cabin crew at NLH make twice what a Thai Airways flight attendant makes. Not that it's a lot of money, but it makes some of the ALPA arguments against this rather thin. Especially so when American Airlines has Buenos Aries based flight attendants on 1/3 the pay of their U.S. based counterparts. Just a tad hypocritical. UAL and DAL also have/had foreign based crew on lower T&Cs for decades.

NLH has a US foreign air carrier permit and operates out of Norway.
NAI is a "subsidiary" that has an Irish operating certificate, but plans to operate out of Norway and never go to Ireland.
NLH uses crews in compliance with Norwegian labor laws.
NAI wants to use Singaporean/Thai crews.
It does NOT comply with Norwegian labor law.
It does NOT comply with Section 17 bis of the US-EU open skies agreement.
ALPA and the US airline industry do not oppose Norwegian Long Haul (NLH) from continuing to operate into the United States.
The opposition is to granting a foreign air carrier certificate to an entity (NAI) whose structure is non-compliant with laws and treaties.

The irony of all these posts is pure hypocrisy claiming unfair labour laws abroad. How many chest beaters purchase goods from Home Depot, K-Mart, Walmart, or even Lowes, whose wares are manufactured overseas with cheap labor in China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Mongolia by in-prisoned North Koreans, to name a few?
How many chest beaters are banging the doors, in their own backyards demanding that outsourced cabin crew employed by their own airlines be paid at least what their American counter parts are?
