It's a lot easier to survive if you have a government that supports you with a bottomless bucket of cash, no work rules that you have to adhere to... ya know.. small things like that.. But it's a level playing field.

BTW, check out the cash Dubai has on hand. Selling assets right and left to pay off Abu Dhabi from 2008. No chapter 11 available for the emirate and Emirates. You better hope that Emirates doesn't get sold to Abu Dhabi with an unlimited cash flow from oil. They are buying up percentage chucks of airlines around the world like Air Berlin, Alitalia, and Iberia. Who's next? And Turkish? Highly unionized, new huge airport opening. The world's a changing, with regard to airlines. Probably wouldn't like it if I were in your shoes. Oh well, I did take the bait, on second thought.
