Delta 30 Gates In SEA
#461
Sadly only preliminary, the wife seems to be locked on to south ATL. Wouldn't be the end of the world, at least she's not making me commute from TX. We both love TX and SAT is as good an airport as any to commute from, but even flying positive space back and forth to training sucks. I don't want to do it for a lifetime.

When he spoke about The SEA hub he turned dark. He said we are planting a flag in SEA. It is our hub. We will never leave.
Then back to some funny stuff about Parker.

DL offered them a great deal (at the expense of DL pilots) and they said no. In order to remain independant, they got deeper in bed with AA and even EK/etc, and decided to capacity dump for revenge in a war they can never, ever win on scale.
Look, I'm dang glad they did what they did. Dang glad. In the extremely unlikely event I'm ever sitting next to your CEO at a bar, I will buy him a beer and thank him sincerely. He's done more to get DL pilot's rear ends into DL flight deck seats than just about anyone.

Like many others, I would take that bet in a heartbeat... wrt west coast major hub, LAX completely fragmented with no room for gate expansion, SFO not viable, PDX or SEA only real options...SEA is it, and its going to get bigger faster and for a long, long time...

You're on gloopy. Here are my only rules:
(1) Five years from today delta must be at least at their current level of ops in SEA, with no company announcement of a scale back that would take them back below the levels of operations as of December 12, 2014, and
(2) James R. Hatcher must still be alive and well on this forum. Unfortunately at the rate the mods are killing my user names off, I doubt I will be active under this name in five years. If i am, then if the rules of (1) occur and delta is at or above today's operational level, you win. If not, I win and the losing party gives $100 to the winners favorite charity. Deal?
