Airlines with Satellite or virtual bases
Hi all,
Long time lurker first time poster, many thanks to those who have helped me over the years without even realizing it!
I'm embarking on a fact finding mission to work out ways to help those at my airline who have been negatively affected by changes to our base structure. One avenue we're exploring is virtual or satellite bases and would like to know more about airlines that have successfully done this. What I'd like help with is:
-Which airlines have Satellite or Virtual bases?
-What are the pros/cons from a pilot perspective?
-Pros/cons from a company perspective?
-What scheduling software do they use?
-Who to talk to for really in-depth knowledge of capabilities and limitations of the software they use?
Thanks a bunch!

I think when some computer nerd comes up w/ the ultimate program of building trips around employees that may change basing forever. But until then, Major Airlines will stay the course.
I have heard that AA has some virtual basing...ask one of those guys.
Good Luck, Baja.
