No, I care how it will affect (effect?) all US pilots, FA's and others in the industry. I realize that there may be a few niche domestic airlines that stand to temporarily benefit from aiding and abetting the enemy hell bent on taking our industry down and transferring it to them while bribing us with our own money. You're hoping your new squardon gets some sweet code share action out of the deal, and that's okay. Just be honest, "bruh".

I know u guys dont care, but lots of RJ pilots continue getting hired by the ME3, its a huge step up for them. Hope the ME3 do their best to kill the RJ industry by grabbing as many pilots as they can. Help kill the RJ-subsidy for the majors too in the meantime.
And help raise US pilot pay as a result...win-win

I guess it's not unusual for people with an ax to grind to jump in, and try to fan the flames in a quest for attention (sigh). Still doesn't make the rants relevant.
Despite attempts to modify the debate, and transparent attemptd to gain sympathy from the (perceived) enemies of one's enemy... there already is a consensus here that pilots that go to work for the ME3 carriers are doing so for honorable and legitimate reasons.
The debate of the thread is whether or not the specific carriers are subsidized.

And while one would excuse his naďveté due to youth, that's not the case.

After reading some of his posts, I'm under the impression that he's not a US citizen and his country of origin is in/near the ME. If you read his post history, you'll probably come to the same conclusion. I'm going to guess that he thought he'd have a mansion with a pool full of beautiful women, a garage full of exotic sports cars, and sooo many gold chains in his armoire that he couldn't wear them all at once.

RAH=Republic Depending on how recent that post is, it appears he flies for Republic.

$7000 a month tax free and a housing allowance is not equal to $3000 at a regional (comparing first year pay).
Buddy just upgraded to 777 captain at Etihad, year 4. Lets not even talk about how much more he makes than a 4 year regional captain.

Work for Republic, May 31st is my last day at RAH (= Republic), put in my notice yesterday. Going back to flying bizjets. Personally, I'm done subsidizing DAL/UAL/AA ops. Its not worth my time and effort, even if airline jobs mean more stability.
Have several friends at Emirates and Etihad. Americans and Europeans. They (and especially their families) love it. It has gotten a bit expensive to live in Dubai and their pay has not gone up by much. But even the ones that are still FOs, would not swap into an RJ captain's seat. I guess they understand the math.....
I do believe in fighting for what I think is right. Maybe that makes me naive.
You cannot fix ME3 subsidies while getting your own operations subsidized. And making personal attacks is not helping your case.
Um, yeah okay. Sorry you were martyred by not getting on in the first year of a huge retirement based hiring wave. You should totes help foreign enemies take our industry down because revenge. That'll show those evil ALPA pilots at mainlines that don't respect your skills!
You are correct good Sir, I've worked at Republic for 2 yrs now. It is shocking how poorly RAH pilots are treated, its not just a pay issue. We have senior captains (with wives, families) leaving for ME3 airlines, China, India, etc. I guess they get it. Oh well, i'll stop wasting my time, if you guys do not get my point (however naive it may be) by now, you never will.
