We don't really have soft time but for February I hit a record. 57 hrs block and 100.75 credit. That was recurrent ground school (travel, ground, travel) and three 4-day trips = just 15 days of work.

Thats not bad at all!! Well, being a newbie, ill keep positive and hope the 50% growth they talked about during my interview comes to fruition.

That case was an exception, not the norm. I luckily got the same trip three times for the month. For March that trip only runs once, and it's gone.

Curious, what's the 50% growth thing they alluded to in the interview? Any specifics?

They will serve you a big glass of kool aid all the way through OE until you get that prebuilt reserve schedule with only 12 days off for the total month and 2 days of in between the 3 sets of 5 work days.
The reality is it's a great place to work because of the people you work with daily. Most trips are not that bad and most hotels are pretty decent. The morale bounces along and tends to dip low when unwanted news comes down from the top. ie. We're waiting on our profit sharing % and word is we took an "unexpected" $40 million dollar training hit that some think will be deducted from our %.
As for being public, well, the majority of stock is still carried by the same people that carried VX when it was privately held and as long as they're making loot they'll keep it stagnant.
Just my .02.

For any JFK line holders, how many nights are you staying in a crash pad a month ?

He's exactly right .. VX is very unattractive . It's really just going to become a revolving door in the right seat if things don't change quickly. people that are coming here now need a real dose of reality.

I think the revolving door will happen for the guys who are roughly 1 year and junior. Once you hit year 3 or 4 year pay it makes it harder to leave unless the Big 3 call.

The "word" is wrong. There was an analyst downward revision of the q4 2015 earnings, in the amount of about $4m. in addition, there was an 8k form filed with the SEC discussing a non-cash maintenance "change" of $40m, not a "charge" amongst other items.
