UPS to drain hiring pool

Anyone put in the pool prior to January 2006 will have to reinterview to be eligable for employment. The big question is whether or not UPS will reinterview everyone affected.

I totally agree with Freighter Captain, the pool is BS pure and simple. What other career field at UPS can you go through the lengthy hiring process only to be told "we like you, you have the job but we just want to see if someone better comes along". This is just another example of the "arrogance and callousness of the higher ups in management" F.C. speaks of. Further more, if you put someone in the pool and eventually the pool runs dry (as it has two times since I was hired) you haven't weeded anyone out, you have only delayed their seniority. Also, as an instructor I can tell you first hand I have never noticed a difference in performance of the pilots hired in the beginning of a pool vs. those hired when the pool runs dry.
I will agree with you that the new pilots are impressive, I just wish they didn't have to be treated like ******* by management. (ie. the hiring pool and first year pay)

Browntail,
Where exactly did you get this info, or is it simply "what you heard"/a rumor.
Thanks.
