Next question: Is it still hurricane-level loud in flight, or did the airlines/Boeing not want to change that?

My brother hates the sonic blaster. Says his ears are still ringing on the drive home.

First world airline pilot problems. <sigh>

To all of you who dream of flying a 737 at a major airline... Still a great gig and an airplane that I enjoy tremendously.

The cockpit ain't that bad
A solid time-tested airframe that you can still fly manually when all goes to crap
I'll gladly take a 1955s design with manual old school switches over an electric jet that goes blank any day of the week and twice on Sunday! Old school baby

Yes, disappoint.

I was hoping they'd design it for humans this time.

It's a 1950s trainwreck of ergonomics.

They can't change it without a cockpit shape/window redesign. They already put VGs under the windscreens on the NGs to help with noise and it's plenty insulated.

I would say you're in the minority.
Especially uncomfortable for us tall people. No hot mic here at AA? Are you kidding me?

Agreed. I currently fly the 73 and like it. Could it be better? Duh, of course! But all this whining and complaining about it is just dumb. Go fly your plane, collect your paycheck and go home. It's just not that bad.
