Default DenyNAI Social Media Effort

If you think your profession is worth fighting for, now is your final chance to advocate your elected officials.

ALPA's Advocacy page has an easy link to tweet and/or email President-elect Trump to DenyNAI. Regardless of how you feel about the election, or the effectiveness of social media, this is an excellent way to show the new President that the time is now to Deny NAI.

All is takes is clicks. Do you have 60 seconds to save your career?

Take Action Here... Flag-of-Convenience Schemes

Direct link to tweet President-elect Trump: Calling on @realDonaldTrump to enforce #OpenSkies; save U.S. jobs from flags-of-convenience airlines unlike @BarackObama #DenyNAI
All you have to do is click. The text is already filled in for you.

Thank you in advance for your support. Please share this post and spread the word if you can.

Nothing says "I'm serious" like a tweet. GMFB

Come back when you've got a link to SOS planning.

Again, regardless of how you feel, this is the most effective avenue we have at the moment. The man with the power to deny this is most effectively reached via Twitter. Changing times...

Stop it, just stop it. It's starting to sound like the protests against Trump. Are you going to Canada or Jupiter.

The race to the bottom started long ago before Norwegian was even around. It's why we have scabs and B scale. It's why so many lost their pensions and/or jobs.

You want to beat NAI, beat them at their own game. Build a better mouse trap and hire some people that Norwegian might take. Btw, the contract is rubbish so I do not think too many will be bonding for three years but you better get your EASA license in two. That opens a whole nuther problem.

Let this run it's course as did Deregulation. A lot didn't like it but all those carriers are gone now. I get people being upset, I really don't see NAI, and their crap contract, as a threat. Just my opinion.

Happy Holidays.

Thank you for your concern. If you're not convinced already this is a threat to our careers, perhaps I can't convince you. There are plenty of threads on this forum explaining how it will affect us all and is unfair competition. But for those that are, this post serves as a resource to take action.

The threat to everyones career IS Alpa. Look at all those regional jets running around now. Ask the USAir guys how it worked out for them. Don't forget Eastern, Pan Am, TWA, and oh, a few others.

We've been getting whipsawed for years and ALPA has stood by. I understand what you are trying to say coors, I do, but you have to educate yourself on the industry and ALPA first.

NAI is no more a threat than other foreign companies (BMW and Airbus) doing bidness in the USA. It's a threat to the incumbent carriers who've been getting away with too much for too long. Competition is a good thing. Go read about the hysteria when Southwest started in 1971/72. You would have thought we were being attacked by Godzilla.

Anyhoo, just some points of discussion, not personal.

Again, Happy Holidays. Watch whats going on in Aleppo to put things into some perspective.

I think it's unfair of you to assume I'm uneducated on ALPA and our industry. I understand if you have misgivings on ALPA and National's actions throughout history, but I'm informed and I've made my decision to stand against unfair and subsidized foreign competition.

I understand that ALPA (us) treated many pilots unfairly in the past, and this post is by no means an attempt to lessen those pilots' legitimate grievances. But for this fight... ALPA is my union, this is my profession, and I choose to fight.

Nothing personal towards you as well. Regardless of decisions made by ALPA chapters in the past, fighting a common enemy to all of our careers can only serve to unite us.

Why lock the thread in the regional forum? Some of us do not come to the major forum. This topic needs as much exposure as it can get?

You are by far the most over-zealous moderator I've come across in this, or any other forum.

The real threat is FAs who make $60/hr yet treat passengers like pieces of crap. Go to any min wage place and their CS is 10x better than most of our inflight 'service'. On my airline I've had several conversations about how they won't even offer cookies and pretzels as a choice because 'they don't want the hassle'. On transcons they spend 85% of the flight huddled in the back talking to themselves.

Yep. Disgusting. Whenever I get into a convo with an FA and they start bragging about how rude they can be I I politely remind them that they pay our bills.
