Can you not see how stupid that is?
Calm down, Francis. You know nothing of this person in reality, so quit being so melodramatic. Jeez.

A Delta 757 pilot was kind enough to extinguish the taxi light as we pointed nose-to-nose this evening. The same courtesy was extended by us, life goes on.

No, no, no, skater3260--you're doing it all wrong. This is the Delta bashing forum. I'm afraid I'm going to have to report you for a TOS violation....

Ohhhh yes I do. Anyone one here trying to rationalize that stupidity tells me a lot about their attitude in the cockpit. And I guess you failed to sense the humorous tone of my post, but go ahead and keep trying to be his knight in shining armor

I've had the same experience with the Delta brethren in ATL. Their taxi light usage shows a complete lack of SA. I guess next time I'll just have to light them up and they can "just look down".

Serious question, from one professional to another. Is that the safest thing to do?

From one professional to another, is shining your lights in my face in the first place the safest and courteous thing to do? I don't think so. Delaying turning your lights on for a couple seconds isn't going to compromise safety and shows that you are a professional that's paid to think and not just a robot while you're occupying the cockpit.

We don't disagree on that front. I'm asking you if retaliating with your own bright lights is the safest thing to do?

Before you answer, remember that you're being paid to be a safety-oriented professional as well...

Good grief.....can't you realize that more than just a few are upset with some of the DLA jets' taxi light usage? You continue looking down when you get a face full of 757 taxi light in ATL and we'll continue to remind them to turn it the fook off when it's blinding us.

I realize you're upset. That's no excuse to commit unsafe actions. I'm amazed at how childish some of you captains are. I bet you fly with one finger on the light switch and the other on the guard frequency. "Just in case"
