CAL mins

For your information, I did not get the flow through agreement. I would have if 9/11 didn't happen.

Correct, but you did brag about your "11,000 hrs, and most of it turbine PIC", as well as "no friends or relatives". It wouldn't matter if you had half the time, you still would have gone to CAL on the flowthrough/pref group. If it were not for one or other, care to elaborate how you did it? If it was now, and you had your "11,000hrs" but not friends or relatives at CAL, do you think they would call you? Doubt it.

I am not jelaous of any of you guys that got there that way a lot of my friends are there bacause of the PIG. They just don't go around bragging about how they fly the 767 and all of their sacrifices to get there.

So I paraphrased. That is basically what you always say. I have all these hours, spent all these years at Express so now I fly the big 767. I know how you got your job. It was my mistake putting you in the "118" and not in the "P.I.G." group. None the less you still got your job handed to you while the rest of us have to try and find a way to "earn" it.

I fly the 757. I'm not senior enough to fly the 767, nor did I ever brag about flying it. I interviewed for my job at CAL. Some made it, some didn't. No one handed me anything; I passed the interview, the 737 training, the 757/767 training, etc. Again, quote me from any thread about my "sacrifices" that you talk about me making. You say that you are not jealous, but it bothers you when anyone who made it to CAL posts anything.

What's the mins they are going by?
I just talked to a EWR 73 FO she couldnt have been over 25yrs old with under 3000tt with less than a few months in the left seat of an RJ. I would think they would be looking in the >7000tt range with 1000pic turb min.
Whats competitive? CAL DAL etc...

Where do get bragging? The thread is CAL mins and I stated mine. Hired with lots of time is not bragging; hired with lower time might be. People always read into the posts what they want. You sound bitter. Does it matter if I got hired by the flow through, 118, PIG, other? The thread is CAL mins and that is what was being discussed. Try starting your own bitter thread on how you didn't get here while everyone else did.
So, were you 118 or PIG? You never answered. I don't care how you define it, if you were, that is a connection.

You can not compare your situation with other new hires at CAL. You got to interview because you were on property at Express win contract 98 passed. I am very familiar with the flow through, the 118, and the PIGs. Your mins are not typical for a CAL new hire. You were offered an interview per the flow through in 2002. No other new hires at CAL were being interviewed then. I have been at Express a long time, not long enough to get an interview there, but long enough to have spent 5 years as an FO. If CAL ever calls I would be more than happy to take the interview and hopefully the job. I will just remember where I came from.
In most of your posts you come through real arrogant. That is how a lot of people read them. That may not be your intention that is how it comes through.
I know the topic of the thread and I don't think that you are a realilistic new hire min at CAL.

The difference between the 118 and PIG group is timing/seniority. The 118 passed an interview and were scheduled to start CAL around 9/11. The PIG group passed their interview and started after the 118.
